1. Tricolour Sandwich

If you are a fan of any recipe with mayonnaise, be it veg or eggless, start your day with a yummy Tricolour Sandwich. This sandwich, layered with Nutralite Mayo and green lehsun chutney (which we love), while listening to some beautiful patriotic songs, is the right start to Republic day. 2. Tricolour Dhokla

Make your Republic Day meals a little more exciting by adding a dish with healthy mayonnaise to the menu. The impeccable taste of our Tricolour Dhokla will fill the foodie in you with absolute joy. Here is the recipe for you

  • Sooji (2 cups)
  • Curd (2 cups)
  • Water (1 cup)
  • Salt (½ tbsp)
  • Water (1/8th cup)
  • Baking soda (½ tbsp)
  • Pinch of green colour (2)
  • Sugar (½ tbsp)
  • Salt (½ tbsp)
  • Water (1/8th cup)
  • Baking soda (½ tbsp)
  • Sugar (½ tbsp)
  • Salt (½ tbsp)
  • Water (1/8th cup)
  • Baking soda (½ tbsp)
  • Sugar (½ tbsp)
  • Pinch of saffron colour (2)
    1. Mix curd, sooji, and water well in a big bowl, and leave it aside for around half an hour. Convert this batter into three parts for the three layers.
    2. For the green layer, take a separate bowl with one part of the batter and add all the ingredients given above for the green layer.
    3. Now heat the dhokla cooker. Grease it before you pour the green coloured batter into the cooker, and steam it for 10 minutes.
    4. Repeat the 2nd and 3rd steps above to create the white layer, and then the saffron layer respectively.
    5. Now switch it off, and let it cool down for a while.
    6. There, you have your tricolour dhokla that comes off easily from the steamer. You can sprinkle some cumin seeds for garnish.
