And we’ve got an excellent cheese garlic butter naan recipe that you can make at home using Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread, and Nutralite cheesy garlic mayo.
Maida – 3 cups
Salt – 1 tsp
Curd – 3 tbsp
Milk – 3/4 cup
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Baking soda – 3/4 tsp
Water – as needed for kneading
Garlic cloves – 10 nos (peeled and finely minced or pureed)
Oil – 1 tbsp (optional)
Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread – 3 tbsp (divided; for dough and brushing)
Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo – 2 tbsp (for glaze and serving)
Puree or finely mince the garlic. In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo with 1 tbsp melted Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread until smooth. Reserve for brushing and dipping.
Whisk together 3 tbsp curd, 3/4 cup milk and 2 tbsp sugar until smooth. Stir in 1 tbsp melted Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread.
In a large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, 1 tsp salt and 3/4 tsp baking soda. Add the wet mixture and 1 tbsp oil if using. Mix and add water a little at a time to form a soft dough. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 6 to 8 minutes until elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth or cling film, and rest at room temperature for 1 hour.
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball and roll into an oval or teardrop about 6 to 7 inches long, dusting with flour as needed.
Heat a heavy tawa or skillet until very hot. Place a rolled naan on the tawa; bubbles will form after 30 to 60 seconds. Flip when the underside shows brown spots. Press gently with a cloth or spatula to encourage blistering. Cook both sides until evenly done with light charred spots.
Brush hot naans immediately with the reserved garlic butter spread glaze and an extra 1 tbsp Nutralite Doodhshakti Probiotic Butter Spread for shine and richness. Serve with a small bowl of Nutralite Cheesy Garlic Mayo for dipping.
