How To Make This Baked Oatmeal Recipe
Step 1: Mash The Banana
Use a ripe banana here. Mash it and spread it at the bottom of a large mixing bowl. Pour a glass of milk, half a cup of maple syrup, some coconut oil and a tablespoon of Nutralite butter spread. Whisk the contents in the mixing bowl to combine them.
Step 2: Add the Tastemakers
Next, add a spoon of baking powder, a spoon of cinnamon, and a spoon of salt. Whisk the oatmeal mix again. Add half the blueberries, and then the oatmeal to the mixing bowl. Then add ¾ cup of walnuts or pecans. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it combines.
Step 3: Transfer the mix to a baking pan
Transfer the contents of the mixing bowl to a baking pan. Make sure you spread the contents evenly around the pan. Once you’ve done that, add the rest of the blueberries and nuts as a topping over the oatmeal mix. You can also add some brown sugar and coconut flakes here for added flavor.
Step 4: Bake the oatmeal
Place the baking pan in an oven and bake it at 180°C for around 40-50 minutes until the topping looks crisp and the middle looks mostly set.
