1 cup dosa batter

¼ cup finely chopped onion

2 tbsp chopped tomato

1 green chilli, finely chopped

2 tbsp chopped cilantro

2 tbsp oil

How To Make Breakfast Uttapam Recipe

Step 1: Warm the griddle

Heat a nonstick pan over medium. Drizzle in oil, then wipe the surface with a little butter so the uttapam slides easily.

Step 2: Shape the pancake

Pour about ½ cup of batter and gently spread into a roughly 5‑inch circle with the back of your ladle.

Step 3: Top with veggies

As soon as the batter starts to set, scatter onion, tomato, chilli, and cilantro across the surface.

Step 4: Cook both sides

Cover and let cook 3–4 minutes until bubbles appear. Flip carefully and cook another 2–3 minutes until golden spots form.

Step 5: Make the drizzle

While the uttapam cooks, stir together the remaining spread, chilli flakes, salt, and lemon juice in a small bowl.

Step 6: Finish and serve

Stack the hot uttapams, spoon over the spiced drizzle, and serve immediately for the best texture contrast.
