Cookies are what bring people together during the festive season! They’re the perfect crumbilicious treat to keep you jolly all through the season and serve to one and all, spreading the Christmas cheer. Are you ready to make the best Christmas Cookies of 2017? Follow the recipe below

Ingredients

What you’ll need to make your Christmas Cookie Cutouts:


  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup Nutralite
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of finely grated lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

How to bake your Christmas Cookies from scratch:


  1. In a large bowl, beat the Nutralite and sugar on medium speed.
  2. Slowly add in the egg, lemon juice and zest on low speed.
  3. Add the flour, baking soda and salt to the mix and continue to blend until you’ve got yourself a soft dough.
  4. Roll the dough out until ¼ inch thick and cut out shapes of your choice using a cookie cutter.
  5. Once you’ve done that, the dough goes into the fridge for 30 mins.
  6. While they’re chilling, preheat your oven to 350°F.
  7. Place your cookies, one inch apart on an ungreased baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are a light golden brown colour.
  8. Let them cool for a minute or so and there you go! Your healthy easy cookies are up for grabs and gobble and ready to go into the cookie jar!
