Traditional Indian vegetarian recipes for parathas can get rather tiresome after a while. But fret not! We’ve got Broccoli parathas that blend the protein of Broccoli with some interesting flavours and make for a healthy breakfast. It’s time to give your mornings a whole new twist.


  • Whole wheat flour (1.5 cups)
  • All-purpose flour (1 tablespoon)
  • Broccoli (Half)
  • Onion (Half)
  • Garlic (1 clove)
  • Green chillies (2)
  • Garam masala and Turmeric powder
  • Carom seeds (Ajwain): ½ tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Nutralite Classic


  1. It's quite simple. Wash the broccoli thoroughly and cut it into neat florets.
  2. Put some water to boil along with 10 florets and some salt as per taste.
  3. After about two minutes, grind the florets into a paste. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and garam masala with garlic and green chillies.
  4. Take a mixing bowl. Add whole wheat and all-purpose flour to it along with the paste, onions, carom seeds and salt as per taste.
  5. Knead it with the necessary amount of water.
  6. Once you have prepared the dough, leave it for a while.
  7. Prepare small balls from the dough. Flatten it with a belan.
  8. Heat a griddle and place the paratha on it. Spread some Nutralite on the paratha. Cook till both sides turn golden or brown.
  9. Follow the same procedure with others as well.
  10. Serve the paratha with some pickle or curd.
